Phone and Online Therapy

Strapped For Time and Need Effective Help?

Are you someone who never has a spare hour in the day? You might say yes to everything, even if you’re exhausted, already committed to multiple leadership roles, or juggling several responsibilities. As you run from one task to the next, you might not even notice you’re running on fumes until someone else points it out.

At this point, you may realize you can’t keep going at this pace. In fact, no matter how hard you work or try to please others, it feels that something is missing in your life.

Are you interested in learning ways to manage the day-to-day responsibilities and find fulfillment, but only if you can find therapy on-the-go?

Are you an over-stretched parent who always puts your needs last? Whether you’re a full-time parent or struggling to juggle your family and career, you might feel completely overwhelmed by your unending to-do list. With little time to pursue your passions or give yourself what you need, perhaps you feel you’ve lost touch with who you were before life got so busy.

Maybe your child has special needs, and so you might find it even harder to set aside any time for self-care. You might wish you could talk to someone who understands the particular challenges of your daily life, but know that you can’t leave your child alone while you attend therapy.

Do you wish compassionate support could come to you?

Convenient Therapy That Meets Your Personal or Relational Needs

So your schedule isn’t so hectic, but you’re simply looking for convenient support in your relationships, self-esteem, or headspace.

Perhaps you feel bombarded by racing unsettling thoughts or regrets that disrupt your life choices and keep you up at night.

Maybe you’re single or dating and struggle with feeling alone, questioning whether you’re inadequate to find Mr. Right, or realize your dating patterns leave you in a revolving door of dry and unsatisfying relationships.

It’s possible you could be struggling with self-doubt, low self-esteem, and find it difficult to live the life you want. The more you live like this, the more you may feel underwhelmed, depressed, and not know what to do.

Regardless of your situation…

Are you searching for a convenient space where you can be with your own thoughts and feelings, and obtain the solutions you need to your daily life?

Do you wish you could find some freedom—freedom from overwhelm, racing thoughts, relationship woes, or disappointment? More than anything, do you wish to be empowered, inspired, and given support to live the life you desire?

Our World Makes It Difficult To Find Rest and Relief

Life isn’t as simple as it used to be.  It seems as if we are always on the go, having a list of things to do, and achievements to accomplish. Our society has taught us that we are always lacking something, leaving us to feel like our lives or ourselves are inadequate or not enough.  We may feel pressure to constantly achieve something more or better.  Inevitably, we compare ourselves, our families, or our social or occupational status to others and the standards of this world. It’s no wonder we’re often overwhelmed, anxious, ashamed, or depressed, wishing we had more hours in a day, or feeling judged or stretched at every angle.

I invite you to consider: when was the last time you felt a sense of contentment, peace, confidence, or satisfaction? If you can’t remember, you are far from alone.

Thankfully, technology has created new, convenient options for those seeking help and support. Through video and phone therapy, a skilled, experienced therapist can come to you no matter where you are or what your life circumstances may be.

Phone and Video Therapy Offers Relief That Comes To You

Instead of another stressful item on your to-do list, therapy with me at the touch of a button can feel like a nurturing break. My goal is to make sure our sessions fit—and improve—your life.

Because my phone and online therapy services are available anywhere in the state of California, you don’t have to twist your schedule to make time for your own well-being. You can talk with me from the comfort of your own home, during your work break, in between responsibilities, or even while you commute.

The truth is, there are some things in life we just can’t change. If you’re an ambitious student, committed to growing in your career, or if you simply have bills to pay, busy days might be your reality. If you are a parent—and especially if you are a parent of a child with special needs—then your family responsibilities demand a lot of your time and energy. And that’s okay.

Online therapy can help you develop the tools needed to discover greater peace and calm inside those hectic spaces.

During our first appointment, we will explore the concerns that have brought you to therapy. You can share what’s bothering you, without fear of judgment or pressure to make sweeping changes. My therapy services are not a one-size-fits-all kind of program. I offer practical techniques that are tailored to you, your needs and your goals. With the convenience of online counseling, I can even tailor my work to your lifestyle. In every therapy session, I want you to walk away with practical tools and actionable steps you can immediately apply to your life.

Depending on your schedule and needs, one of the perks of online therapy is that I can conveniently provide counseling for you in the moment during difficult times of distress, offering you help right when you need it.

Technology makes it possible to give you the most effective on the spot support, versus having to remember and rehash difficult moments in a therapy office hours or days later.

As a busy professional and mother of a special needs child, I know how difficult it can be to prioritize yourself. I also know that if you’re on this page, part of you knows it’s time to get some extra support from a professional. You can begin to fill your own cup, renewing the energy you need to navigate each day’s challenges—and savor each day’s joys.

You may have questions or concerns about therapy on the go…

Are phone and video therapy still confidential?

Yes! I use a secure, HIPPA-compliant telecounseling application called VSee. When it’s time for your appointment, you simply go to my website and click the “Virtual Clinic” link. Whether you’re on your computer or mobile device, as long as you are in a private space and consider the use of headphones, our session will be completely private as well.

I’ve heard a lot about therapy apps. Why should I work with you instead?

Many therapy apps require a weekly or monthly fee, no matter how often you actually use the app. When you work with me, you will only pay per session. In other words, you will only pay for the help you actually receive, without any gimmicks or obligations.

While chat systems for therapeutic help may be convenient, it can feel a little impersonal while also having stops and stalls as you wait for a response from a provider.  You will always receive a fully engaging session with me, with a personalized conversation that allows us delve into the topics that matter to you. That means you can build a healthy therapeutic relationship and coping tool set more efficiently than with many apps.

Phone therapy won’t be as effective as an office visit.

Before I started offering therapy over the phone, I also worried that the sessions would be less effective than in-person. However, I’ve found that the phone provides my clients to find relief faster.

I’ve experienced the phone doesn’t act like a barrier or block. Instead, it actually invites you to be more vulnerable and honest without the awkward feeling of someone staring at you while you’re emotionally “naked.” You can cry without worrying about how you look. You can talk about difficult subjects with more ease. This unique sense of privacy can help the overall awkwardness of in-person therapy sessions.

With my help by phone, it can lend the possibility of getting to the core issues that keep you stuck in your life at a quicker rate.  Depending on your therapeutic needs, reaching your desired results sooner could mean less time in therapy.  If you’re spending less time in therapy, then you can spend less from your pocket.
